In winter in the north, cars need a parking heater

The car fuel heater, also known as the parking heating system, is an independent auxiliary heating system on the vehicle that can be used after the engine is turned off or to provide auxiliary heating during driving. It is generally divided into two types: water heating system and air heating system. According to the type of fuel, it can be further divided into gasoline heating system and diesel heating system. Large trucks, construction machinery, etc. mostly use diesel gas heating system, while family cars mostly use gasoline water heating system.
The working principle of the parking heating system is to extract a small amount of fuel from the fuel tank into the combustion chamber of the parking heater. Then, the fuel burns in the combustion chamber to generate heat, heating the engine coolant or air. Then, the heat is dissipated into the cabin through the warm air radiator, and at the same time, the engine is also preheated. During this process, the battery’s power and a certain amount of fuel will be consumed. Depending on the size of the heater, the amount of fuel required for one heating varies from 0.2 liters to 0.3 liters.
The parking heating system mainly consists of the intake supply system, fuel supply system, ignition system, cooling system, and control system. Its working process can be divided into five steps: intake stage, fuel injection stage, mixing stage, ignition and combustion stage, and heat exchange stage.
After starting the switch, the heater operates according to the following steps:
1. The centrifugal water pump starts pumping and trial operation to check if the water circuit is normal;
2. After the waterway is normal, the fan motor rotates to blow air into the intake pipe, and the dosage oil pump pumps the oil into the combustion chamber through the input pipe;
3. Ignite the ignition plug;
4. After being ignited at the head of the combustion chamber, the fire burns completely at the tail and exhausts the exhaust gas through the exhaust pipe:
5. The flame sensor can sense whether the ignition is ignited based on the exhaust temperature. If it is ignited, the spark plug will be closed;
6. Water absorbs heat through a heat exchanger and circulates it to the engine water tank:
7. The water temperature sensor senses the temperature of the effluent, and if it reaches the set temperature, it will shut down or lower the combustion level:
8. The air controller can control the intake of combustion air to ensure combustion efficiency;
9. The fan motor can control the speed of the incoming air;
10. The overheat protection sensor can automatically shut down the heater when there is no water or the water circuit is blocked and the temperature exceeds 108 degrees.
Due to the excellent heating effect, safe and convenient use, and remote control operation of the parking heating system, the car can be preheated in advance in cold winter, greatly improving the comfort of the car. Therefore, it has been made a standard configuration in some high-end models, while in some high-altitude areas, many people self install it, especially in trucks and RVs used in the north, which are mostly installed.
