How to select the appropriate wiring harness for a car

1、 Check the circuit connectors: This is the first and most important step. As mentioned earlier, the standard wiring harness has 12 circuits, but the others have 18 or 24. It is necessary to check the circuit connectors to confirm that they match your vehicle model.
Additionally, check the connection mode. Do you need to crimp or weld, or both? Both are the best performance.
2、 Check if the wiring harness is expandable: Cars may only require wiring harnesses with 12 circuits. What would happen if you had a car that required 18 circuits? New wiring harnesses can be purchased. Alternatively, an expandable wiring harness can be obtained that can accommodate more circuits that can be assembled. Expandable harnesses are also an advantage because they have less voltage loss.
3、 Check the wiring harness material: Apart from durable wiring harnesses, you don’t want anything. To ensure this, please check the wiring harness materials, especially the wires and connector materials. For wires, copper is the best choice. Copper or brass can be chosen as connector terminals, while aluminum terminals should be used with caution.
